I have no earthly idea unless it's a recipe entered/posted by Carolyn Shaw. Her recipes *always* had that symbol. I think t was an identity tag or it helped her sort her MM base for *her* recipes.
Thanks for resolving that mystery for me!
When looking for background (and more recipes) I learned that Carolyn
was a cookbook author and had made videos of some of her stuff.

Title: Vegan Oatmeal Raisin Cookies^
Categories: Vegan, Grains, Fruits, Cookies, Snacks
Yield: 24 cookies
4 oz Vegan butter; room temp
1 c (packed) lt brown sugar
1/3 c Granulated sugar; (opt)
1 vegan "egg" *
1/2 c No sugar added applesauce
1 1/2 ts Pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 c Old fashioned oats; NOT
- quick cook oatmeal
1 c Raisins; firmly packed
1 1/2 c A-P flour
1 1/2 ts Ground cinnamon
1 ts Baking soda
1/2 ts Salt
* Bob's Red <ill egg replacer (follow directions for 1
whole egg)
Set oven @ 350oF/175oC
Sift the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt, set
aside. Make the vegan egg according to the
manufacturer's instructions, set aside.
Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, cream the butter and
sugar(s) together. Add the vegan egg, applesauce,
vanilla extract and oatmeal. Mix to combine. Scrape down
the sides and bottom of the bowl. Add the dry ingredient
mixture and raisins. Mix just until the dough comes
together.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a small
cookie scoop to portion each cookie two to three inches
apart. Use a fork to gently press the cookies. Bake for
13 minutes. Once done, cool the cookies on a rack or
place the parchment paper, with the cookies on it,
directly on a countertop to cool. Store in an airtight
container.
Yield: 20 - 24 cookies
