• Brain Drain US

It's like watching a train wreck unfold before your eyes, but in slow motion. You see it happening, but no one stops the train; they're actually pushing it!

That's how it feels when we look at how the Republicans under Trump are pushing the US towards the abyss.

The problems of the US are numerous: too much spending, too few people still pursuing higher education, declining global trade, disputes with allies, tax cuts for the wealthy, impoverishment of the lower class, and shrinking of the middle class. And whatever they do, it's always precisely the wrong thing, because they still live under the assumption that the world revolves around the US.

This is typical behavior for a world empire that's past its prime and unwilling to admit it yet.

The latest action is the attack on Harvard. The university was told it could no longer accept foreign students. In the meantime, a judge has already put a stop to that, but the fire has been lit. Students are rethinking their plans for the coming year. Do you still dare to come to the US if there's a chance you might have to leave during the academic year, wasting a year? Wouldn't it be better to go to a safer university in Europe?
