I can't get away from an RTE100 error... Any ideas? Even

Is the door written in Turbo Pascal? When I first started setting up
a new BBS, I encountered some errors like that with DOS doors, and I
read many of such errors happened with door games written in Turbo
Pascal because modern CPUs are too fast, and there are a few programs
that will patch Turbo Pascal programs so they can run on modern PCs
    without generating the error.

Pretty certain that is the 200 error. Here is an odd fact... I am
starting to run into that issue now in a dosemu instance. However,
unlike the other times I have run into it, this time it only happens
sometimes. I can try to start the program again and it may run.

Yeah, I'm running Ele, which does create exitinfo.bbs, just like QBBBS,SBBS and RA. I tried /N, supposedly that fixed it for codefenix, but not me. /D didn't help any either.

    Shurato,
Another person here posted that RTE 100 likely means that the program is reading past the end of a file. Is it possible that you have accidentally deleted a line from the BUCK.CFG file?

If not, it is possible that the drop file does not contain the number of
lines the program expects. Someone else mentioned the KEY file, too, but
it sounds like you may have already looked at that one.

I would also be sure that the path you entered on line 1 is
in ALL CAPS and ends with a '\'. Not sure that would be the issue but
since the default file was set up that way I kept mine that way and didn't
run into the issue you are having.

That's odd.. Though, I wonder if running one of those TP patch programs on the executable could fix it.

I brought back the original file and actually added a line to the end.

I've tried using door.sys as well as dorinfo1.def and turning on and off
    the usage of exitinfo.bbs.

Still getting RTE100 even when loading the game locally, once I enter my name and security level. It shouldn't be the drop file. The only thing I changed
in the buck.cfg is the path, kept it capitalized and am definitely pointing
to the right directory, which wouldn't matter when running with /L.

well, i've managed to get it to work with mystic using netfossil

I find RLFOSSIL has plenty of foibles. I run a batch file from it that then runs the entire BBS rather than try and have it load each time you need it,
or it was very unreliable. So my RLFOSSIL command line tends to look like..

    RLFOSSIL 0 1 C:\BBS\BBS.BAT

Then you can just do whatever you want inside the batch file, without having
to worry about things not being able to find a FOSSIL.
