• Problem with doors

From alonzo@21:1/130 to All on Fri May 30 05:54:02 2025
I am still having this weird problem on my board. I have
several DOOR32.SYS doors on my board and I a using a
separate computer to call and test these games. When I
pick a door and run it, the door will pop up on my
HOST computer instead of on the computer I call in on.
And then the computer I call in on freezes and does
nothing until I can disconnect and try again.H

I have "share" turned off on both computers - both
are running Windows 10. At first I thought I done
something to mess up my settings on the BBS but
I even tried installing a new Mystic BBS and it
does the same thing! Python scripts and MPL programs\
work ok, but not doors that use the DOOR32.SYS
or DOOR.SYS drop files. Any idea what I could
    be doing wrong?H
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. If I wasn't
bald already, I would be tearing my hair out. :)

    Are you using NETFOSS?
That is what is required to 'push' doors 'through' the telnet connection.

No, I am not using that. I will give it a try. I just thought it was
relly strange how everything would pop up on the HOST computer
instea of on the computer you were calling in on. And it would
lock up both computers. I don't know how to use NETFOSS but
I will look into it. Thanks

Feel free to send me an email and I will forward you some configs and some .bat files for reference. NETFOSS is what is required to "route" BBS door game "traffic" through the Telnet Tunnel to be viewed remotely. There are a few games that I gave up on because they would never show up remotely and would only show on the local PC screen.

If games dpn't support fossols, you can.use doorway.

Pardon the typos, I was using connectbot. My tremors make the android
    keyboard hellish...
