I thought you said *you* would pay *me* to sign up for SciNet. Did I get that backwards somehow? Oh dear.
Funny, I spent a while tonight converting some of g00r00's old Demonic

Glad you are here brother, enjoy the chaos.
Hey, how did you get such a cool node number?
I guess that's what 20 bucks gets you these days, eh?
But, unlike you guys, it is legal federally. I can even hop on a plane from Toronto to Vancouver with a pocket full of weed.Must be Nice,

It is legal but still a gray area. I have an active federal security clearance but live in California. I cannot use weed or I will lose my clearance due to federal law. :(

Yeah it's true, and you can't take it across state lines legally, and a lot of other shitty things. Fine fine Canada wins :P
I never understood the whole "Its legal at a state level but not federally". So if I am in Colorado smoking some weed and an FBI agent happens to walk by, what then ,lol.
Interesting point though that the "states rights" conservative talking points are at odds with the "we'll send feds to arrest people" conservative points. But I digress. :P
Those were Hamilton lyrics, Washington definitely didn't fit, maybe I should have said government? :)Must be Nice,

I agree with the first two line, as for Trudeau, not left enough for my taste.
I never understood the whole "Its legal at a state level but not federally". So if I am in Colorado smoking some weed and an FBI agent happens to walk by, what then ,lol. You are fine. :P Technically it's illegal to smoke in public, but it's basically ignored by everyone (at least here in Seattle)
TSA is not really concerned with drugs, they are concerned with bombs,
but they are a federal organization, so there are other tricky things here. If you got caught with weed in Seattle airport I'm pretty sure
they would just make you "throw it out" (read give it to them so they
can smoke it :P)
There is a massive bin at CATSA (our version of the TSA) with a sign that reads "If you are flying outside of Canada, please drop your weed in here". Last I saw it was half full, lol. They ought to move that to the incoming side after customs.

If I wasn't scared of living in Cuba looking out over the ocean from my cell...ask him where he gets his weed from & how much for a dime bag.

Alcohol and tobacco kills more people that weed ever has. I never understood the rational behind making it out to be the big bad.
I'm not sure if we are just more tolerant, but it sure has created to a great tax revenue stream for the government to help up with our
universal health care and subsidized education. No one up here is complaining.
When I was a teacher's aide in Colorado...used to have families give up everything they had to move there to be legal. Bad thing is like any
type of drug...the body gets used to it...so they go onto something else.

These guys doing $40 dab snakes in one hit, they might be the ones
'going onto something else' but even then I doubt it. People chasing opiate tolerances are the ones getting into the heavy shit.
Alcohol and weed both suffered prohibition because white people were scared of black people and demonized them as being all messed up on
drugs and alcohol. Strange but true :/
Yeah, no disrespect to phoobar but I don't agree with the previous assessment :) Legal weed hasn't resulted in any higher rate of "hard"
drug addiction.
Far from it actually. Cigarettes are WAY more addictive. I personally
have never seen a study or felt any addiction/withdrawl symptoms with weed. Getting off the smokes was one of the hardest things I ever did, never felt anything like that with weed.
There have been dozens of medical studies that have concluded that
smoking weed doesn't develop a tolerance, like alcohol. It's impact is more over all as opposed to something that might replace a specific chemical in the brain like opioids.

I quite enjoy being messed up on drugs and alcohol as a white man, lol.

Used to see documentaries on the "drug war" from the 19th century to recently. Much of the reason weed is demonized is because many of those who used it weren't white & heaven forbid our white kids start acting like them.

welcome :)
Damn. :( I was slightly sad to see that you didn't give me my original SciNet node number back until I realized that this one is cooler. :)
I mean, most public companies will still shit-can you for failing a drug test for weed regardless of what state you're in too, unfortunately.
I've talked about this a lot in the past on Zer0net, but I've seen
plenty of people smoking in public in Seattle. It's fairly common to be walking around and pass through a huge, stinky pot cloud. ;)
The same applied up here north of the border. The same rules and social norms as alcohol and smoking cigarettes applies to smoking weed. Can't
be high at work or while driving and you can't smoke it in restaurants
or bars. That type of thing.
I certainly get not being high *at* work, but having it in your system
at all is another story. :/

Although, unlike alcohol where you can't have an open container of booze as you are walking down the street, you can smoke weed out in public unless it something like 20 or 30 meters near a school or kids
playground.
I remember my granddad using a mechanical donkey to roll his cigarettes. Used to laugh when they popped out the ass of the donkey. Even though
the smoke will give it away...couldn't you roll joints with something
like that?
You probably could, but I prefer joints that are a little looser on the roll other wise it is too harsh.Pre-rolls you get at dispensaries around here are super hit or miss.

for cigarettes and another for weed.

Think it goes back (at least here in the States) that no matter how
dreary your life may be...you should never take anything to make
yourself feel better.

Ah, yeah, that's not legal here. You're basically not supposed to do it
in anything one might qualify as a vague definition of "public"
including bars, restaurants, music venues, etc. which sounds like it's legal up there. Not that it stops people, but...

There are some dry areas in our country that, honest to goodness, I am pretty sure are dry just for that reason.
I know it's not at all unusual, but what I've had issues with in the past were edibles. The first time I ever visited a dispensary in Washington I ate a cookie that sent me to another dimension. I would have been cool with it if I was expecting it, and I wasn't in public in a totally unfamiliar place. Ugh... good times. :)Haha, 100 bad days make you interesting at parties :)
Yeah, I've had more than one night of "fuck this shit" hitting the
liquor after work in the last month or so. That's not typical for me, as
I try not to use alcohol (or anything else) as a crutch, but sometimes it's good to take the edge off of the stress, and I had a couple of unusually intense weeks at work filled with long nights of shit breaking and political drama filled days of people ruining carefully constructed plans. *sigh*

Oh yeah. Believe from 1933-1955...Oklahoma was a place where you had to head to the sheriff's office to buy. After that...the state ran stores & do to this day. For that matter...up to the late '80's...cable companies had to blank out liquor ads with none seen on broadcast TV. On the other hand...you could buy 3.2 beer/beverages around the clock.
IIRC, for hard liquor, you have to go to state run stores in Ohio, too. Same was true in Ontario when I visited there.
We here in Ontario have dedicated government run Liquor and Beer stores. Our current idiot Premiere (like a state governor) has decided to allow selling beer in grocery stores, but so far it has only been a limited

Sadly the Beer store is not gov't related at all. It's a private company that the gov't has given a free monopoly to. I mean they had to to fight to sell beer in the liquor stores and eventually capitulated to not selling 24 packs so as to not 'hurt' them. Opening up sales in grocery stores is a good thing to help bring prices down since the Beer store
just gets to make them anything and they make them ridiculous.
As long as I am not forced to drink a buck a beer.
FOLKS this is going to provide you with a tremendous savings, stimulate our econ omy, and be a boon to our breweries.

OK. BTW, it looks like I uploaded a duplicate REP packet and don't have the dupe checking on this echo set properly. You have probably just received my original message again. There were only 3 messages in the packet, so it should not start a dupepocolypse or anything.
Haha, 100 bad days make you interesting at parties :)
Edibles are definitely harder to deal with, dosages vary wildly
especially in the earlier days. And especially with home-made stuff. I had a homemade brownie once that kept me stoned for like 6 hours.
We started bringing CBD brownies camping, everyone loves them :) Makes sleeping on the ground a lot less annoying :)
One of my exes scored a giant vat of pot butter made from CBD extract. Made some nice chocolate chip cookies with them and we brought them to a birthday party. I drank a shit load of whisky and ate several. I'm surprised I remember as much of that night as I do. :)
