We do have people who regularly contribute to the SBBS code base like
There are people here who could answer some questions, but in a lot of cases onl y DM readily has the answer. It might not be the best place
for support, but if someone wants to avoid the official support forums, it'd be better for them than nothing.

The Synchronet subs on DOVE-Net are the best place for SBBS support on
a message net. DM is there, as are a ton of Synchronet sysops. Is there
a reason you don't want to go there?

I have no problem adding one but unlike the fact that g00r00 the authour of Mystic is a member of SciNet and can use the Mystic echo for bug reports and announcements, Digital Man the author of Synchronet isn't a member of SciNet. Somewhat, yeah. I can understand not wanting to be on DOVE-Net, but it wouldn't be hard to join and then just subscribe to the few relevant
subs. Make them sysop-only if you want to make it invisible to hypothetical users.
As netsurge pointed out, Digital Man is not on scinet. Have you tried carrying dovenet? Also, if you are on fido, some of the dovenet synchronet support echos are bridged over to fido. DM hosts dovenet and is good about answering questions there, even when they are asked by the money man.

That would be a small problem in the sense that my local is also MIA (and is actually my regional) so I cannot assign a net/node number that would actually get anyone set up in the official nodelist.
